One of the strangest goalie plays I’ve seen in a long time, had to watch it twice. He comes out, charges the player on a breakaway, loses his helmet in the process and also gets his head stuck in his sweater, becoming HEADLESS. oh also THE PUCK IS STILL IN PLAY
ps good for Ilya Kovalchuk to do some shoving there at the end to protect his headless comrade
lobsterfest asked: beer, liquor or wine at 5pm?
bthny asked: Considering that deaths come in threes, who do you think will be next?

you should have happy hour specials. and what’s more, when you have them you should advertise them on your website! I will come to your bar, and probably eat something. Unless you are Ace from Real World Paris’s bar, Flip Flops, because you are disgusting and reek of date rape. Good day, sir.

That is one of my favorite SNL catch phrases to throw in casual conversation.

this is a mix that bthny made for my 21st birthday (Sarapalooza II). It is aggressively 2005.
Here’s the tracklist, from what I can figure out:
Of Montreal - The Party’s Crashing Us Now
Jay-Z - Sunshine (Ratatat remix)
Annie - Chewing Gum
Beck - Hell Yes (Ghettochip Malfunction remix)
Diese Tigrona - Injeçao
Mr Catra (?) - no fucking clue. Some random funk...

Oh hi, Atlanta. How are you doing?
That’s actually a great question. I’m going down there for business over Presidents’ Day Weekend (ugh) and I will need stuff to do. What do I need to see?

As I Walked Out One Evening by W. H. Auden
As I walked out one evening,
Walking down Bristol Street,
The crowds upon the pavement
Were fields of harvest wheat.
And down by the brimming river
I heard a lover sing
Under an arch of the railway:
'Love has no ending.
'I'll love you, dear, I'll love you
Till China and Africa meet,
And the river jumps over the mountain
And the...

my favorite parts:
If you have to write about drugs, don’t write about pot. Candy is more interesting than pot is. Knives are almost always cool.
If there is lace of any kind in your writing, you are doomed.
Don’t write about Europe. You were there with a backpack for a week and barely scratched the surface. This does not permit you to...

Listened to the author, Lucas Church, read this at the party/reception thing. It’s really good! And you don’t see where it’s going, necessarily! I’m not usually one for short stories, and maybe it’s better read aloud [edit: my mind is gone], but everyone I was with (we were there for the booze, not the party) really liked it.
